Big
Crowds but no Records.
The
club held the 5th annual
Little South Run, 4 mile road race on
Sunday last and almost 300 people took
part despite the rainy day. The race
winner was Colm Burke of St Abbans who
has now three Little South wins to his
credit. Claire Phelan of St Abbans
pipped Adele Walsh for the top ladies
prize, while Bronagh Kearns and Chloe
Laffan won the juvenile and junior
sections. The day was a big success from
a fund raising point of view with the
hospice movement again the chosen
charity. Well done to all who took part
and especially those who raised money on
sponsorship cards and remember to return
them as soon as you can. Results here
Hat

very well, that’s Eoghan and Gerard

just a few.
Stay
Local
Our
local winners were Maire Reddy, Siobhan
Power and Karen Costelloe, while on the
men’s side Robert Walsh, Eoin Sheehan
and Gerard Maher were tops. Some notable
faces on the march include Echoes
columnist Sean Maher who is a regular
Little South participant, quiz brain
specialist Mary Walsh and Betty Walsh a
former Gracedieu girl. Also taking part
was former champion walker Perri Wlliams,
while well known opera buffs Kathleen
and Breda Kennedy guarded against attack
from the rear.
